Difficulty: Beginner / Intermediate
Join us for a scenic day hike through Boston's beautiful Blue Hills Reservation. We'll explore forested trails, climb to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Boston skyline, and enjoy a relaxed day of conversation, community, and connection with fellow Jewish singles ages 40–60.
This moderately challenging hike offers the perfect balance of outdoor adventure and meaningful social time in one of Greater Boston's most beautiful natural areas.

Trek Leaders

This day hike will be led by Providence native, Allison Kohll. You can learn more about Allison here.
Difficulty Level
This is an intermediate to advanced backpacking trek.
We will cover approximately 14.1 miles and 4,400 feet of elevation gain over four days of hiking.
Participants should be comfortable hiking with a full backpack for multiple consecutive days.

Location
Blue Hills Reservation is a 7,000-acre natural area just south of Boston, known for its rocky ridgelines, forested trails, and sweeping views of the city skyline. Our hike will follow a scenic route through some of the reservation's most beautiful terrain.
Itinerary
10:00 AM – Meet at the trailhead and introductions
10:15 AM – Begin hiking
12:00 PM – Kosher picnic lunch and group discussion
2:00 PM – Continue hiking
3:00 PM – Return to the trailhead
Times are approximate and may vary based on trail conditions and group pace.

2–3 liters of water

Hat and weather-appropriate clothing
Good walking or hiking shoes
Day pack
Hiking poles (optional)
Lech-Lecha will provide a kosher lunch.
Shabbat and Kosher Friendly
We welcome people of all levels of Jewish observance. Our trips are structured to ensure that participants who observe Shabbat and kashrut can do so comfortably.
All food provided by Lech-Lecha is kosher. While this trip doesn't include a Shabbat, all Lech-Lecha programs allow participants to comfortably observe Shabbat.
