Practical questions
We work with camps to build age-appropriate experiences for groups of ages 12-18, with a maximum of 20 campers per group. We can, however, support multiple groups.
1. What ages and group sizes can you serve?
Our partner trips are multiday backpacking experiences, with the length planned around your camp’s schedule and your campers’ needs. Trips can include Shabbat in the outdoors. We also offer staff training for camps that want to lead their own programs.
2. How long are the trips?
3. Where can you operate?
We operate all across the United States and can support your camp whereever you are.
As long as campers are comfortable hiking and in the outdoors, they don't need prior backpacking experience. We work with your team to understand the group’s experience and choose an appropriate route and level of challenge.
4. What experience do campers need?
5. How do you approach safety, medical needs, and emergency planning?
At least one guide on each trip is Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certified and supporting guides have Wilderness First Aid (WFA) or other first-aid training. Each group has first-aid equipment and an emergency SAT phone. All emergency procedures are outlined in advance and coordinated with your staff.
6. How do you accommodate our camp’s kashrut and Shabbat practices?
All of our treks are Kosher and Shomer Shabbat. Preparing for Shabbat together in the woods is one of the most special experiences on our program. We can acommodate special requests and dietary restrictions.
7. How does the summer 2027 subsidy affect pricing?
Thanks to donor support, we’re able to reduce the cost of summer 2027 partnerships. Pricing depends on your group size, trip length, location, and the support your camp needs. Contact us to discuss your plans and receive a subsidized quote.
