Executive Director
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and hands-on Executive Director to lead Lech-Lecha Journeys into its next chapter of impact and growth. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization—from fundraising and strategic planning to program development, community outreach, and staff development.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $40,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

About the Role
Fundraising & Development
Develop and execute a fundraising strategy, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and campaign management.
Maintain and grow relationships with current supporters.
Actively steward new donors and foundations.
Leadership & Strategy
Shape and implement a long-term vision for Lech-Lecha's mission and impact.
Develop goals, key metrics, and organizational priorities in partnership with the Board.
Assess organization strengths, weaknesses, and growth potential.
Program Oversight
Oversee the design and execution of programming, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and Jewish education.
Manage program portfolio, calendar, logistics, and participant recruitment.
Supervise, train and support field staff and educators.
Operations & Administration
Manage the organization’s budget, financial reporting, and compliance.
Ensure effective systems for registration, risk management, follow-up, and assessment.
Oversee hiring, training, and HR policies in line with Jewish and ethical values.
Community Building & Outreach
Build relationships with synagogues, campus groups, and other Jewish institutions to broaden Lech-Lecha’s reach.
Cultivate a vibrant online presence and outreach program.
Serve as a thought leader in the field of Jewish experiential and nature-based education.
Represent Lech-Lecha to partners, donors, and participants with warmth, clarity, and purpose.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, Jewish studies, or education a plus.
Skills
Strong commitment to Jewish life, learning, and outreach, with a passion for connecting Jews from diverse backgrounds.
Proven success in fundraising and organizational growth.
Entrepreneurial mindset: motivated, proactive and creative.
Experience in organizational management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and written communication.
Love of and experience with outdoor adventure.
